Meet the A Team—a dynamic group of professionals who drive our company’s success. Our team includes master cabinet makers, electronic engineers, software programmers, welders, fabricators, sculptors, project managers, designers, administrators, and finance experts. Each member brings specialized skills to create high-quality, technologically advanced, and visually captivating projects. Together, they collaborate seamlessly to deliver immersive experiences that leave a lasting impression on clients and audiences worldwide.

Bruce Davies

Managing Director

Bruce is one of the country’s leading experts in Hands on Interactive Exhibitions and often works with visitor attractions around the world to help develop their own approach to creating engaging and fun interactivity within their centre that best suits their vision and visitor needs.

From a fledgling company he started way back in 1988 he has been steering the team over the last 36 years and has assisted many individuals to flourish in this often, challenging niche sector of industry and manufacturing. Overseeing the design and development of 5000 different interactives and being part of around 650 projects worldwide is an incredible achievement so far and as for the future as Abraham Lincoln said “The Best way to predict the future Is to create it”


Julie Davies

Director

Julie joined Aivaf in 2000 and has held a variety of positions throughout the company until becoming Finance Director in 2007.  Julie has a wealth of experience in business, contract negotiation and accounts holding a degree in Business Management.

Julie oversees the financial aspects of the company with the Managing Director and looks after projects both nationally and internationally travelling extensively with them, in order to provide assessment of needs and costs with continuous methods of value engineering.  Ensuring we provide the best within budgets for our clients.


Steve Foster

Director

Steve joined the Aivaf team in 2011 as an Electronics Engineer after completing his BEng degree in Computer Systems Engineering. He then progressed to manage the Electronics department in 2013 where he oversaw the skilled team in producing the electronics and AV elements of many projects, along with the development of the Aivaf ECU platform.

In 2017 he took a step into directorship of the company and continues to lead ambitiously, enjoying exciting new projects, the challenges they bring and striving for excellence for the future of Aivaf.


Matt Harlington

Matt Harling

Workshop/Production Manager

Matt has dedicated his career to interactives, having previously served as the head of Interactive Maintenance at Magna Science Centre. With many years of experience at Aivaf, he possesses an in-depth knowledge of interactives and a strong understanding of client needs. In his role, Matt collaborates closely with our design and electronics teams to ensure that exhibitions work as they are designed too. 

Fran Piper

Fran Piper

Design Manager

As the Head of Design at Aivaf, Fran brings a decade of interactive design experience to the table, including locations across the Globe, such as China, Barbados, United Kingdom, Norway.

Leading our talented design team, she employs a hands-on approach that fosters collaboration across all departments and with clients. Her dedication to prioritizing creativity, durability, and usability ensures that every project not only meets but exceeds expectations. Fran’s unique ability to blend innovative ideas with practical execution makes her an invaluable asset to our team.

Ben Hollis

Ben Hollis

Project Manager

Ben brings extensive Project Management experience to Aivaf. Having served in the Royal Marines, he managed logistics and budgeting for large-scale exercises across various continents. His robust background, complemented by an ILM Level 3 certification and a PMP qualification, empowers him to provide exceptional service to our clients. Ben has successfully managed sector projects, including those at Dover Castle, Magna Science Museum, Highlands Wildlife Park, Durham, and Rome Little World.




Jordan Green

Jordan Green

Site Manager/Head of Electronics Dept

Jordan joined Aivaf in 2016, bringing with him a BEng in Electronic Engineering. Over the years, he has progressed from an Electronics Engineer to his current role as Senior Site Manager and Head of Electronics, where he oversees the department’s operations. With numerous installations under his belt, including projects in Barbados and Norway, Jordan is also committed to mentoring and training younger team members. When not on site, he showcases his exceptional programming skills by developing hundreds of interactive exhibits during his tenure at Aivaf.

Brian Hutcheon

Brian Hutcheon

Head of Scenics/Props/Models

Brian, an exceptionally skilled model maker, joined Aivaf in 2019. He leads a multidisciplinary team adept at fabricating a wide range of creations, from full-size historic race cars to intricate costume jewelry. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Brian holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Graphic Design, bringing both artistic vision and technical expertise to his role.
